Suzy Sutton

Head Teacher - Standards in the Core Subjects

My role as Head Teacher Governor is to report to the governing body on school improvement strategies, organisation, teaching and learning, engagement with the local community and child safety and wellbeing. Long term, my role is to ensure the sustainability of the school for our children and for future generations.

Graeme Wright

Executive Head teacher - Standards in the Core Subjects

Elizabeth Heafield

Chair of Governors

I am currently Chair of Governors and have three children attending Toynton. My background is in Children’s Services, specifically child protection. My motivation is to encourage the school to continue to develop in a positive direction, and to ensure there are equal opportunities for disadvantaged children.

Christopher James Powell

Vice Chair and Chair of Finance.

I joined the Governing body to make a true difference to school. I am a company Director and have high ambitions for Toynton to become the school of choice by providing high quality teaching standards and opportunities for the children. I have a keen interest in making sure we enhance all of the children’s learning, be it in the classroom or outside in our unique setting at forest school.

Joanna Mary Kirk

Staff Governor

I started at Toynton in 2010 as a general T A and as a 1-1. I now cover the ELSA and Pastoral roles within school.  I joined the Governing Body in 2017 as a staff governor and am very proud to work at such a happy, friendly and flourishing school.

Penny Thomas-Karley

Co-opted Governor

My husband and I have lived in Toynton All Saints since 2004, when we moved up from London.  I have been teaching since 1991 and have worked in various secondary schools in both South London and Lincolnshire.  For many years I worked in special education, initially as a teacher and later as a SENDCO. For the last decade or so I have been teaching mainly English at KS3 and KS4.  My knowledge of special needs and the secondary curriculum are useful, particularly with KS2 and KS3 transition.

Since I live in the village, I am able to attend most of the events that are held out of school hours and have enjoyed seeing all the excellent initiatives that the school has introduced even in the time I have been a Governor.

Hannah Hopgood

Parent Governor

I am a mother of two and my eldest has just started in reception at Toynton. I became a Parent Governor because I have a passion for learning and want to assist in my children's education wherever possible. I am currently a director of our limited company, but in previous roles I have been a cash management specialist for a FTSE 100 company, and in more recent times, a qualified secondary mathematics teacher. I aim to help Toynton continue to deliver a well-rounded education where children achieve their full potential and to ensure the school allocates its finances as efficiently and fairly as possible.

Lisa Pickering

Parent Governor

I am a parent governor and currently have 2 children attending Toynton All Saints Primary. I have worked locally as a primary school teacher for the past 15 years and I have particular experience in KS2. One of my key interests is in technology and digital learning.

I am keen to help ensure that Toynton provides the very highest standards of education whilst fostering a nurturing and caring environment that enables pupils to thrive.
