Homework

Here you can find out about Maple’s homework.

2016-17

Spelling Homework
Given on a Monday, due and tested on Monday.

Children receive weekly spellings homework that is based upon the statutory guidelines in the National Curriculum. The homework will consist of 10 spellings to be learnt for the test; using the LOOK, SAY, COVER, WRITE, CHECK method.

Numeracy Homework
Children each have their own login to access the Rock Star times table app. A weekly league table is produced, to see who has collected the most coins over the last seven days.

Topic Homework
Given at the beginning of each term

Every term children are given a termly project to complete, this consists of a choice of four activities, of which they can choose one to have a go at.  The activities are based on our termly topic and allow the children to explore particular aspects, of the topic and curriculum, which interests them.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s homework then please do not hesitate to come and see us.
