KS2 Football victory!

Today we took part in an inter-school football tournament organised by JB Sports.  Halton Holegate Primary School did an excellent job of hosting the event.  The school provided a very warm welcome and fresh fruit for the players during rest times.  The three teams involved in the competition were Halton Holegate, Partney and Toynton All-Saints.  Teams played each other once and matches lasted for 20 minutes, with a change of ends at half-time.  The games were expertly refereed by JB Sports.

The staff and children at Toynton are very proud of the performance of our team today.  We won one match 8 – 0 and the other 5 – 1, thus winning the overall competition in the process!  Yes the scorelines are impressive, but even more impressive was the way that our team played the matches.  Great skill and determination was demonstrated by all our players and when both attacking and defending they were able to communicate and find the correct place on the pitch as if it was second nature.   All the players should be really proud of their performance today and it is clear that Mr. Reeson has done a fantastic job of coaching our team during our after-school KS2 football club! IMG_3830
