Pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 had a fantastic time on the PGL trip at Caythorpe Court near Grantham. The weather was rather wet but with such exciting activities to tackle it did not dampen our spirits.
The activities provided something for everyone and each presented a significant challenge to both the children and the staff! Jacob’s ladder and Abseiling tested those who don’t like heights, whilst the zip-wire appealed to the thrill seekers among us. Air-riffle shooting and the problem solving activities were more sedate but no less demanding of skills or brains. The quad bikes also proved popular with those children who like the roar of engines!
The trip itself was also an adventure as it gave the children a chance to get to know each other outside school and for many it was the first time that they had stayed away from home overnight. The children returned to school excited but very tired. They must have really enjoyed it however because many asked when we would be going on the next PGL trip?
"At Toynton-All-Saints Primary School we want the young people in our care to leave as well-rounded human beings, inspired and motivated to continue their learning with respect for the views and beliefs of all other people."
