Collaborative Partnerships

The Fantastic Four The Fantastic Five In September 2012, we embarked on our collaborative journey of “Walking Together To Walk Far” with 4 local primary schools, to enrich the experiences of our collective 500 children and to strive for excellence in the teaching and learning opportunities that they have. Our joint mission was to ensure “the success and achievement of the children.” Our work together has embedded our partnership and has had a big impact on both children and adults alike in school, as we are building a strong and enduring friendship. Here are just a few of the activities that we have enjoyed together:

  • Science and art/drama residentials at the Frieston Environmental Centre and the Skegness Aquarium
  • Musical Express performance at The Embassy Theatre, Skegness (This year’s collaborative performance involves over 100 children from the 5 schools and is based on “Around The World In 80 Days”)
  • KS1 picnic, walk and songs at Snipedales Conservation Area
  • Shared Year 6 Leavers BBQ and water fight party
  • Videoed literacy lessons across the schools
  • School Council Visits to each others’ schools
  • Writing moderations year group to year group
  • Inter-sports competitions in Netball, Athletics and Football
  • WOW Writing Project based on “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt”

Our vision is to become Leaders in partnership work and so far our plans for this year include:

  • A shared scheme of work for the Spring term under the heading of “Weather”
  • Joint professional development for our Newly Qualified Teachers
  • Further residentials at the Frieston Centre (subsidised by our Pupil Premium Funding)
  • Joint performance management program, mentored by Kyra Teaching School, Lincoln.
