Investigating properties of materials.


In our science learning, we have been learning about materials and their properties. Today we tested for items being waterproof or not. We thought how materials changed shape, changed colour and if they could be used in the same way again.

LOST!

More brilliant projects…


The children (and parents) have been working hard at home with their termly projects. It is lovely to see the enjoyment in learning that the children demonstrate.

Sending letters…


We have been learning about where we live and our addresses. Each child has written a postcard home and have sent them home. Chestnut Class walked, very sensibly, to the village postbox to post them. While we were there we even met the Post Lady and saw her empty the postbox!

Our first winner!


Each Friday, we are holding a cake raffle to help raise funds to support with the expenses of school trips. Megan was our first winner of the very chocolatey cake!

Harvest portraits


As part of our art work on portraits we thought we would tie in the Harvest Festival. The children used a range of fruits and vegetables to produce their faces and had lots of fun while doing it. They were all very proud and excited to share them in assembly.
